More Than a Pub - Film #1 of 3

Standing in that packed pub during the 10th anniversary celebration, I was struck by the sheer love in the room - people of all ages, backgrounds, and stories. It was one of the most diverse, welcoming, and safe spaces I’ve ever been in.
— Rachel Auty

Here is the first film in a series of three, telling the stories of community-owned pubs in the words of the people who saved and rebuilt them. First up is The Antwerp Arms in Tottenham, North London.

This project was a commission that began in early 2025 and what an absolute honour and a labour of love it has been!

Huge credit to the awesome Katie Greenhalf at This Film, a skilled filmmaker who has brought these to life beautifully. It's been a pleasure.

If you need a reminder today that good people exist, that people care, and that there IS hope, grab yourself a brew and sit tight. This 23 minute film is quite a ride.

You can read the article I wrote to accompany the release of the films, too.
